The Gift You Won’t Want to Return

John 14:27 - “I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. (NLT)
I. God’s Provision for Peace
Isaiah 9:6 - For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. (NAS)
Luke 2:14 - “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” (NLT)
II. Peace in Our Church Family
Philippians 4:2 - “I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord.
- -” Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.” (NIV)
III. Peace in Our Heart and Mind
Philippians 4:6 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 - “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (NIV)
IV. Peace in All Our Circumstances
Philippians 4:8 - “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things.
9 - “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (NIV)
